Welcome to the Village of Lake Ann Master Plan website, a community resource for the Village of Lake Ann’s collaborative planning process! Based on state law, Village officials have authorized the preparation of a Master Plan to address future land use and any potential changes the future may hold. To accomplish this task, the Planning Commission is embarking on a process to prepare a new Master Plan. This Master Plan will serve as the basis for future land use decisions and will support the Village’s zoning ordinance. Land use planning is a collaborative process that requires the participation of area residents and stakeholders. Ann Lake is the area’s greatest treasure and land use both within the Village and in Almira Township greatly impact the health of the Lake. Therefore, this Master Plan effort seeks to build a level of collaboration between the Township and Village that will help to build a sustainable future for the entire community. As part of this process, we will be soliciting additional input from area residents through the month of March 2010. Comments can be sent via email. Additionally, residents can complete this on-line survey to help us plan for the future of the Village of Lake Ann. The Village Planning Commission meets at 6 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month at the historic Village Town Hall Building on Maple Street. All are welcome to attend. |
