Wade Trim Recognizes Employees

For 20 years, Wade Trim has recognized employees who demonstrate exemplary work and make significant contributions with "Eagle Awards". Nominated by their co-workers, the 2006 Eagle Award recipients are Angela Gorecki, Leah Groya and Jordan McCormack.

Angela Gorecki is the People Services (PS) Program Specialist and Payroll Coordinator in our Taylor office. She is responsible for maintaining corporate-wide PS programs and is also acting as the PS Coordinator for our Grand Rapids office. As Payroll Coordinator, Angela is responsible for processing and verifying the accuracy of payroll and also maintains the information in timesheet and payroll databases.

Angela began working at Wade Trim as a PS Intern while she attended Eastern Michigan University and was hired full-time after graduating with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration in 2001.

Leah Groya, AICP, is a Planner in our Taylor office. She has been with the company for over eight years. Leah specializes in parks and recreation planning, non-motorized transportation, watershed planning, ecosystem restoration, and project funding.

Leah earned a Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Michigan State University. She also earned a Professional Certificate in Watershed Management from the Michigan State University Institute of Water Research. Leah is a member of the Michigan Association of Planners and the Michigan Recreation and Park Association.

Leah worked on the award-winning Macomb County Trailways Master Plan and recently completed a Non-Motorized Transportation Network Master Plan for the City of Battle Creek, and a Recreation Master Plan for the Village of Lake Orion. Leah is currently working with the City of Plymouth on their Recreation Master Plan, is assisting the Village of Milford and Milford Township with funding strategies for the design and construction of over four miles of non-motorized trails, and is serving on an International Wildlife Refuge Alliance sub-committee.

Jordan McCormack, PE, is the Group Manager of the Water Resources Group in our Cleveland office. He has been with Wade Trim for three years. He is responsible for design and construction management of water and wastewater projects for the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) and local governmental agencies in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Jordan specializes in combined sewer overflow control and trenchless technology applications. His 25 years of experience includes design and construction management of several combined sewer overflow projects in Michigan and Ohio ranging from reconstruction of small concrete regulators to large retention treatment basins.

Jordan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering from Lawrence Technological University and is a registered engineer in Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. He is a member of the North American Society of Trenchless Technology and American Society of Civil Engineers.

Jordan is currently working on construction engineering services on the NEORSD Southerly Early Action (SEA) CSO Program Packages 2A and 2B and completing design of SEA Package 2C. The SEA CSO Program includes construction of CSO regulators and installation of a 36-inch diameter microtunnel dry weather flow sewer. He is also part of the design team for the NEORSD 24-foot diameter CSO Euclid Creek Tunnel.
