Flint Office Looks Forward to New Downtown Digs

Rendering of the Wade Trim building

Wade Trim’s Flint office will be the anchor tenant of a new office complex to be built in downtown Flint next year. The building will be named after Wade Trim in honor of our commitment to downtown Flint’s renewal efforts. The complex is part of a five-building redevelopment of the entire Mott Block on South Saginaw Street. Located in the middle of the block, the Wade Trim building will provide 8,500 square feet of office space on the second floor for our staff. The ground floor will feature space for five entertainment-oriented restaurants or retailers and four, loft apartments will be on the top floor.

Funding for the $8 million makeover is coming, in part, from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation through $4.2 million in grants to the Foundation for the Uptown Redevelopment Corporation. The redevelopment is a joint effort between Uptown Reinvestments, Uptown Developments, Uptown Six, and Baker College of Flint. Demolition of three deteriorated buildings to clear the site for construction is expected to begin soon and two other nearby buildings will be renovated.
