Jeremy Powell, ASLA, a Landscape Architect in our Taylor office, recently
received his Wetland Delineator certification from a US Army Corps of Engineers
approved training class. The certification indicates a comprehensive knowledge
of the Corps’ wetland delineation procedures and requires written and field
tests. The Corps and the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) oversee the
approval process of wetland delineations and expedite review of delineations submitted
by Certified Wetland Delineators.
Wetland delineation is required on many projects for protection of natural resources.
Our new, in-house capability will enable us to establish wetland boundaries in
coordination with our survey work to expedite the overall review and approval process.
Also, we will work closely with regulatory agencies to help facilitate the review of
wetland documentation and make the application process more efficient and cost-effective
for our clients.
