David White, PE, a Project Manager in our Indianapolis office, was recently
named a diplomate water resources engineer (D.WRE) of the American Academy of Water Resources
Engineers (AAWRE), a subsidiary of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). In support
of ASCE’s policy to broaden and deepen the body of knowledge for practicing engineers,
AAWRE’s certification was developed to improve the practice, elevate the standards and
advance the profession of water resources engineers. It represents strong professional
ethics and a commitment to life-long learning and continuing professional development.
Dave strives to protect public health and preserve the environment by finding practical
and sustainable solutions to complex water resources challenges. He works with several
public utilities on wastewater collection system, hydraulic modeling, sanitary combined
sewer overflow control and tunnel system projects. With more than 13 years of experience
in hydrologic and hydraulic engineering, his background includes analysis of sanitary,
combined, and storm sewer systems.
The American Academy of Water Resources Engineers was founded by members of the ASCE
Environmental and Water Resources Institute (EWRI) to improve the practice, elevate the
standards and advance the profession of water resources engineering. Founded in 1852,
American Society of Civil Engineers represents more than 140,000 civil engineers worldwide
and is America’s oldest national engineering society.
