Ecorse Creek   Ecorse Creek Abatement Drain No. 3
Wade Trim designed a $2.9 million retention basin to alleviate overland and street flooding problems and get a 465-acre residential area in Taylor, Michigan, out from under water. Wade Trim designed the project to include new storm sewers discharging into a retention basin where storm water can be stored until the water can be pumped downstream. The basin and storm sewers were designed in conjunction with the Ecorse Creek Pollution Abatement project. This 15-year project was initiated in an attempt to eliminate pollution in the Ecorse Creek caused by combined sewer overflows.
Mangrove Bay Golf Course   Mangrove Bay Golf Course
Wade Trim and Robbins/Koch Golf Course Architects renovated the Mangrove Bay municipal golf course in St. Petersburg, FL. The project goals were to renovate the existing 18-hole course to improve playability and increase maintenance efficiency through improved design features. Improvements included green and tee renovations, addition of golf course features, storm water/drainage improvements, irrigation system reconstruction and a master plan.
The Taylor Sports Complex (TSX)   The Taylor Sports Complex (TSX)
Located in Michigan, the Taylor Sportsplex is a new $18.5 million, 147,000-square foot, barrier-free facility. It features two NHL-sized ice arenas, two indoor soccer arenas and meeting space. An aggressive approach was needed to shave four to six months off the construction schedule to open for the 2001/2002 hockey season. We teamed up with Walbridge Aldinger to create a construction management at-risk joint venture. Our joint venture was closely involved with the architect during design to provide input on constructibility and budget, and to understand project direction. Construction started in December 2000 and final plans were completed in February 2001. The facility opened in August 2001.
University Park   University Park
Wade Trim prepared the required Development of Regional Impact (DRI) application for this upscale, residential golf development in Florida. The site includes 1,174 acres designed to accommodate 1,238 residential units, an 18-hole championship golf course, clubhouse and a 32,000 square-foot restaurant.
