Operation, Maintenance & Management Projects

Port Austin   Contract Operation, Maintenance and Management Services for a Drinking Water Production Facility and Distribution System and Wastewater Treatment and Collection System
We provide full-contract operation, maintenance and management of the water and wastewater facilities for the Port Austin Area Sewer and Water Authority. The Authority serves the Village of Port Austin and Port Austin Township. The water system consists of a conventional water filtration treatment plant with a submerged intake into Lake Huron. Treatment consists of coagulation and sedimentation using alum, sand filtration and chlorinating for disinfecting. The plant also consists of a 30,000-gallon clear well and high service pumps plus a 100,000-gallon elevated storage tank. The water plant has a design production capacity of 0.432 MGD. The Authority serves approximately 700 metered accounts.
Village of Lawrence   Village of Lawrence Public Works Department
Wade Trim provides operation and maintenance services for the Village of Lawrence’s Public Works Department including personnel and supplies. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining the Village's wastewater treatment facility, water wells, and collection and distribution systems. We also maintain streets (including all winter maintenance) and all of the parks and buildings.
Blair Township Iron Removal Plant   Blair Township Water Treatment and Distribution Operations
Wade Trim Operations Services was recently hired by Blair Township to operate its water treatment and distribution system through 2006. We replaced the Township’s previous contract operations firm. The Blair Township water system serves the community of Grawn and the rapidly growing residential and commercial area south of Traverse City. The water system includes two Type I production wells, an iron removal plant, distribution main and a 500,000-gallon elevated storage tank.
Hubbell-Southfield Basin   Detroit CSO Basin Maintenance
The Detroit Combined Sewer Overflow Detention Basins were built as a means to capture flows that would otherwise overflow out of major interceptors on the Detroit Wastewater Collection System and into nearby rivers and streams, most notably the Rouge River in Wayne County. While these facilities only pump during major storm events, when operational they provide primary treatment to the flows that are captured and operate at pumping rates well in excess of 1.0 MGD. Wade Trim Operations Serves is assisting the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department (DWSD) to develop a maintenance program for their three CSO facilities including seven backwater gates. Other responsiblities include providing a system condition report, developing and implementing a preventive maintenance plan, providing staffing and training DWSD personnel.
Detroit Metropolitan Airport   Detroit Metropolitan Airport Water System Management
As a sub-consultant to our parent company Wade Trim, we provided a certified water system operator to manage the Airport Authority’s water system (the Airport Authority took over ownership of the water system within the airport properties from the City of Romulus. Water enters the properties through four (4) master meters off of the Romulus system and is distributed to the major terminals and airport tenants). Our scope of work included directing the day-to-day operation and management including compliance reporting to the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ). We were also responsible for developing and implementing special programs for Bacteriological Sampling, Program Cross Connection Control, Contingency Plan, and Vulnerability Assessment. Our work was in conjunction with our parent firm, Wade Trim, and its sub-consultants. Wade Trim created a Water Utility Information System that includes GIS mapping of the water system and appurtenances.
