Jamie Gorenflo, ASLA, has joined our Community Design Group as a Landscape Architecture Project Manager, where he will strengthen our growing Landscape Architecture team and expand our Community Design presence in southern and mid-Michigan. Jamie brings a wealth of landscape architecture and land planning knowledge, drawing from 34 years of experience producing creative, sustainable, and marketable residential, mixed-use, commercial, and institutional real estate developments.

Jamie’s expertise also crosses into the areas of land acquisition, planning, and development, for which he has held leadership positions. His ability to engage stakeholders in planning for new developments has been valuable for community projects such as the City of Ann Arbor’s development for a Hyatt Place Hotel and Lake Michigan Credit Union. Due to the site location and environmental concerns, the project required cooperation and approval from neighboring properties, the Ann Arbor City Council and Planning Commission, and the Michigan Department of Transportation. Serving as project manager and on-site representative, Jamie shepherded the development through all aspects of the rezoning, design and engineering, and construction processes, receiving all necessary entitlements.

A member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, American Planning Association, and Michigan Association of Planning, Jamie earned Master of Landscape Architecture and Bachelor of Science and Natural Resources in Wildlife Biology degrees from the University of Michigan.
