Ken Wells, PE, has joined as Surface Transportation Practice Lead where he will oversee the development of context-sensitive solutions to transport people and goods on streets, roads, freeways, bridges, and trails. He brings 30 years of project experience in roadways and major freeway/interstate rehabilitation and reconstruction, as well as drainage and related utilities, working in the US and the Middle East. He has also served as lead designer and Owner’s Representative on major design-build and Public Private Partnership (P3) projects.

A steadfast problem solver, Ken enjoys blending all transportation corridor needs into a cohesive project through infrastructure planning, design, and construction. Ken’s recent experience includes design management and quality assurance/quality control on several large design-build projects. He has also managed transportation infrastructure planning projects that include corridor-wide Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) planning.

Ken is a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Michigan’s Transportation Committee and is active in the Design-Build Institute of America, Michigan Chapter. He holds a BS degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University.
